About us

The Wedding Studio is located on Richmond Hill in Surrey and comprises husband and wife team Tony & Lena Moriarty, who have captured more than 1,000 weddings over the past 15 years.


Before focussing entirely on weddings since 2007, Tony worked professionally as a photographer and also in film production, where he once directed a commercial starring John Cleese.


Lena has been filming weddings since 2009 - and previously worked in customer services for an international airline before the lure to join Tony in the wedding industry proved too great!

Often found at the studio is our golden retriever Buddy, who spends most of his time looking forward to his next meal and swimming in the Thames - and promises to wag his tail enthusiastically at everyone he meets!


Tony's top wedding tip...

If you’re making a wedding speech and you’re not using a microphone, speak loud enough so the people at the back of the room can hear you. Keep brief cue cards to hand to remind you of what comes next. Don’t rush – it’s easy to speed up when you’re nervous, so take deep breaths and pace yourself. Finally, don’t panic - everyone in the room will be willing you to do a great job, so relax and enjoy the moment!


Lena's top wedding tip...
48 hours before your wedding day, delegate all remaining to-do’s to your bridal party (they won’t let you down!). Then savour the build up - and on your wedding day, relax and have the best day ever!
